Dr. James Nored is the minister at the Fairfax Church of Christ in Fairfax, Virgina, suburba of Washington, D.C. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Missional Outreach, which included extensive biblical study, theological reflection, research and practical ministry in missional church, evangelism, and postmodernism. An important part of this body of work included the study and practice of Spiritual gifts.

James first began to discover his Spiritual gifts in college, when a young minister took him under his wing and started inviting him down to the local county jail to do evangelistic Bible studies with inmates. He loved sharing the gospel, and soon began to discover that he had gifts in Evangelism and Teaching. This actually caused him to drop out of medical school and decide to go into full-time ministry. Later he would discover additional gifts in Speaking, Missional Leadership, Leadership, and Administration (Coordination of People/Projects).

James' research has shown the tremendous impact that Spiritual gifts discovery and use has upon both personal transformation and the furthering of the mission of the church. However, it is this personal Spiritual gifts discovery process that he went through and has helped so many other go through that drives his passion for this ministry. In fact, James gives Spiritual Gifts Seminars and Missional Outreach Seminars around the country. Additionally, he has written Using Your Spiritual Gifts, a study designed to accompany the Spiritual gifts inventory, and The Story of Redemption, an evangelistic Bible study designed to reach today's postmodern world.

James would love to hear from anyone who is interested in or has questions about Spiritual gifts or Missional Outreach. To contact him, send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
